Summary
In nominal terms, the Industry Turnover Index recorded a year-on-year reduction of 7.2% in December (change rate of -5.8% in the previous month). This result was determined by the negative performance of the domestic market index, which moved from a year-on-year change rate of -1.7% in November to -7.0% in December. The external market index decreased 7.6% (change rate of -11.4% in the previous month). In the 4th quarter of 2012, the change rate of the industrial turnover index was -4.0% (-5.0% in the previous quarter). The annual average change rate in 2012 was  -3.0% (4.8% increase in the previous year).
In year-on-year terms, employment, wages and hours worked, adjusted for calendar effects, decreased 4.2%, 2.9% and 4.1%, respectively.
