Summary
The new orders in construction index presented a year-on-year decrease of 13.8% in the 1st quarter 2011 (-11.1% in the fourth quarter 2010) mainly as a result of the negative behaviour in the sector of Civil Engineering (which moved from a change rate of -16.8% in Q4 2010 to -21.8% in Q1 2011). Quarterly and average of the last four quarters change rates stood at 3.8% and -5.3%, respectively.
