The Demographic statistics - 2021 summarizes the statistical information produced annually related to the demographic situation in Portugal. Population volumes and structures, as well as different aspects related to the demographic behavior of resident population concerning fertility, mortality, nuptiality, and international migration, are analyzed. Each chapter is dedicated to each one of these demographic components at national and regional levels and, whenever possible, an overview of Portugal in the context of the European Union is given.
