Increase in overnight stays and income in October 2005

In October, hotels recorded 3.1 million overnight stays, which correspond to a year-on-year positive change of 2.7%. This increase was chiefly due to non-residents (6.1%), since overnight stays by residents fell by -5.7% from the same month of the previous year.
This month, total income and income from hotel occupancy increased, year-on-year, by 3.0% and 2.9% respectively.
