In the 2nd quarter of 2024, national airports handled 19.3 million passengers, corresponding to an increase of 4.8% (+5.9% in the 1stQ 2024).

In the same quarter, 55.0 million passengers travelled by train (+12.3%; +17.0% in the 1stQ 2024) and 72.9 million by metro (+12.4%; +5.0% in the 1stQ 2024). 

Passenger transport by inland waterways increased by 5.1% compared with the 2ndQ 2023 (+8.0% in the 1stQ 2024), reaching 6.1 million passengers.

Regarding the transport of goods, there were decreases by rail (-3.4%; -6.5% in the previous quarter) and by road (-9.2%; -12.4% in the previous quarter) and increases by air (+12.8%; +13.6% in the 1stQ 2024) and by sea (+4.7%; +2.5% in the 1stQ 2024).
