Summary
The Business Climate Indicator recovered in December, thus offsetting the deterioration seen in the previous month. The confidence levels declined in manufacturing industry as well as in construction and public works. In the former, interrupting the recovery that had started in August, , and in the latter continuing the trend observed over the last four months. In turn, the improvement in services made it possible to resume the recovery evidenced since August, which had been interrupted in November. The improvements in trade continued for the third month in a row, and in December were common to both types of trade, but more apparent in retail trade. The Consumer Confidence Indicator stabilised, following the slight improvement observed in the two previous months.
