The growing season 2017/2018 marked by the decrease of the main areas cultivated with temporary crops and by generalized breaks of the agricultural productions, resulted in a nominal growth of the Production of the agricultural branch due to a rise of 2.1% of the basic prices.
It should be noted that orange production has reached the highest level since 1986, and for the second consecutive year, production of olive oil above 1 million hectoliters.
The trade deficit of "Agricultural and agri-food products (except beverages)" worsened in this campaign, amounting to € 3 705.8 million.
