Summary
The average value of housing bank appraisals in Portugal decreased 1.5% compared to September. The average value stood at €1014/sq meter in October. Compared with October 2013 there was a decrease of 0.5% (increase of 1.5% in September). The Metropolitan areas of Lisbon and Porto, with average values of bank appraisals of €1221/sq meter and €952/sq meter, registered monthly change rates of -1.6% and -0.6%, respectively, while the annual changes stood at  -0.7% and 2.6%, by the same order.
