The presentation session of the Work-life Balance Programme took place on the 24th of September 2018. This programme is is operated by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) and financed by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism EEA Grants 2014-2021with a total of EUR 6 million, and a national counterpart of around EUR 1 million.
Statistics Portugal is the promoter of the project National Statistics System on Gender Equality, with Statistics Norway as an international partner for the development of one of the project activities, concerning the analysis of the methodology, interview modes, and the most appropriate technological solutions to be adopted in a future data collection on time use.
The project National Statistics System on Gender Equality aims at revising the Gender Database (BDG) currently under development by Statistics Portugal (INE), so that all users and society at large have a more comprehensive statistical system on gender equality, with information on various dimensions of (in)equality between women and men.
