MARCH 2022 9 In 2021: • Of the total unemployed in 2020: » 31.3% (109.6 thousand) remained in that condition; » 48.8% (171,300) moved into employment; » 19.9% (69.9 thousand) moved into inactivity; • Of the short-term unemployed in 2020, 57.2% (133,800) transitioned into employment within one year; • Of those unemployed for 12 months and more, 32.1% (37,500) moved into employment; • 10.5% (69.4 thousand) of the self-employed people became employees; • 35.6% (253.8 thousand) of employees who had a fixed-term or other types of contract moved to an open-ended contract; • Of the people who had a part-time job, 27.6% (103,800) moved to full-time employment in 2021.
