Year-on-year rate of change concerning the CPI estimated at 5.3% Flash estimate Based on the information already available, the following year-on-year rates of change will have been recorded in March 2022: • Total Consumer Price Index (CPI): 5.3%, the highest value since June 1994; • Core inflation index (total index excluding unprocessed food and energy): 3.8%; • Energy products index: 19.8%, the highest value since February 1991; • Unprocessed food index: 5.9%. Compared to the previous month, the CPI rate of change in March should have been 2.5% (1.4% in March 2021). It is estimated that in March 2022, the average rate of change of the CPI in the last twelve months was 2.2%.
