Resumo
The Revista de Estudos Regionais (Regional Studies Review), now in its second year of issue, is targeted at demonstrating the potential to exploit statistical information and to conduct an in-depth analysis of current subjects of recognised interest. Hence, the first article identifies and characterises urban agglomerations within the metropolitan areas of Lisboa and Porto, based on the constructed area continuity criterion proposed by the UN; the second article focuses on the study of inter-regional migrations based on the Employment Survey; the third article presents a study on the regional specificities of the labour market(s) in Portugal by resorting to the Multivariate Analysis of Symbolic Objects.
