Housing construction costs increased by 5.1% year-on-year In March 2021, the following year-on-year rates of change are estimated to have occurred: • New Housing Construction Costs Index: 5.1% (2.3% in the previous month); • Price of materials: 3.3% (2.8% in the previous month); • Labour costs: 7.6% (1.7% in the previous month). The estimated rates of change for March 2021, compared to the previous month, were as follows: • New Housing Construction Costs Index: 1.3% (0.7% in the previous month); • Price of materials: 0.1% (0.4% in the previous month); • Labour costs: 3.1% (1.2% in the previous month).
