T AXES AND FEES ENVIRONMENT RELATED
In 2010 the value of environmental related taxes and fees total EUR 5.7 billion corresponding to 9.6% of total taxes and social contributions.
From 2006 to 2009 the relevant taxes related to environment have been enlarging strongly, from EUR 324 million up to 532 million over the period.
According to the data available for 2008, Portugal ranks in higher places among EU countries with more relative proportions of revenues from environment related taxes.
