A visita do INE de Moçambique incidiu maioritariamente nas áreas de coordenação do sistema estatístico nacional, segredo estatístico, confidencialidade e proteção dos dados, com vista a apoiar o processo de revisão da Lei 7/96 de Moçambique, que enquadra o respetivo sistema estatístico. A delegação de Moçambique, composta pelo Chefe do Gabinete de Assuntos Jurídicos, José Mauro, e pelo jurista do mesmo Gabinete, Hermenegildo Tembe, beneficiou de esclarecimentos sobre matérias a ter em conta no processo de revisão da legislação estatística nacional, com destaque para os princípios de autoridade estatística e segredo estatístico e para o papel de coordenação a desempenhar pelo INE junto dos órgãos com delegação de competências estatísticas. As visitas beneficiaram ainda de um dia comum, em que foi promovida a troca de experiências e partilha de boas práticas, desafios e lições aprendidas entre todos os participantes. Foi destacada por ambas as delegações a relevância do programa estatístico da CPLP para o reforço institucional dos respetivos sistemas estatísticos nacionais, perspetivando-se a continuidade da cooperação neste domínio. The visit from the Mozambican NSI focused mainly on the areas of coordination of the national statistical system, statistical confidentiality, and data protection, with a view to supporting the process of revision of the Law 7/96 of Mozambique, which frames the respective statistical system. The delegation from Mozambique, composed of the Head of the Legal Affairs Office, José Mauro, and the legal expert from the same Office, Hermenegildo Tembe, benefited from clarifications on matters to be taken into account in the process of revising the national statistical legislation, with emphasis on the principles of statistical authority and statistical confidentiality and the coordinating role to be played by the NSI vis-à-vis the bodies with delegated statistical functions. The visits also benefited from a common day, in which the exchange of experiences and sharing of good practices, challenges and lessons learned among all participants was promoted. Both delegations highlighted the relevance of the CPLP statistical programme for the institutional strengthening of their respective national statistical systems, with a view to continuing cooperation in this field.
