2022 Edition 22 MONTHLY STATISTICAL BULLETIN Freight/mail handled at national airports Movement of passengers at national airports • The Lisboa airport handled 56.6% of all passengers (1.2 million) and registered an increase of 189.2% year-on-year (-44.4% compared to January 2020); • France remained the main country of origin and destination for passengers arriving in Portuguese airports: 124.5 thousand passengers disembarked (+129.1% year-on-year) and 147.1 thousand embarked (+69.9%); • The United Kingdom stood out with the highest growth in the number of passengers embarking and disembarking (+576.6% and +485.8%, respectively), ranking 3rd among the main countries of origin and 2nd concerning the countries of destination.
