In 2021 as a whole, the following was registered: • Unemployment rate: 6.6% (0.4 p.p. less than in 2020); • Labour underutilisation rate: 12.5% (1.6 p.p. less compared to 2020); • Youth unemployment rate (16 to 24 years old) 23.4% (0.9 p.p. more than the previous year); • Percentage of long-term unemployed: 43.4% (10.1 p.p. more than in 2020); • Average annual employed population: 4,812.3 thousand people, 2.7% (128.6 thousand) more than the previous year; • Unemployed population: 338.8 thousand people, 3.4% (12.0 thousand) less when compared with 2020. • Labour underutilisation was comprised of 630.1 thousand people, i.e.: » -1.9% (12.3 thousand) vis-à-vis the previous quarter; » -15.7% (116.9 thousand) compared with the same period of 2020; • The labour underutilisation rate, estimated at 11.7%, decreased 0.2 p.p. from the previous quarter and 2.3 p.p. when compared with the same quarter of 2020;
