FEBRUARY 2022 11 MONTHLY STATISTICAL BULLETIN CPI year-on-year rate of change increases to 3.3% In January 2021, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) registered the following year-on-year rates of change: • Total CPI: 3.3% (2.7% in the previous month); • Core inflation index (total index excluding unprocessed food and energy): 2.4% (1.8% in December); • Energy products index: 12.1% (11.2% in the previous month); • Unprocessed food products index: 3.4% (3.2% in December). Consumer price and core inflation indices (year-on-year rate of change and 12-month moving average) In January 2021, the CPI also registered the following rates of change: • Month-on-month: 0.3% (nil in the previous month and -0.3% in January 2021); • Month-on-month, excluding unprocessed food and energy products: zero change (identical value in the previous month and -0.6% in January 2021); • Average over the last 12 months: 1.5% (1.3% in the previous month).
