Summary
The publication Provisional estimates of resident population - Portugal, NUTS 2, NUTS 3 and Municipalities for 2008, presents detailed information on resident population in 31 December 2008, by sex and age, for Portugal, NUTS I, II, III, Municipalities and Districts. This edition presents the following structure: in the first chapter the main results are published; in the second are presented the methodological aspects to the calculation of the provisional estimates; a third chapter with estimates by sex and age groups and indicators (ageing and dependency ratios), concerning Portugal, NUTS I, NUTS II, NUTS III, Municipalities and Districts, as well as the population by single years of age for Portugal and NUTS II.
