Summary
The "Monetary and Financial Statistics 2001" provides — for Financial Intermediation, Section J of the Portuguese Classification of Economic Activities (CAE-Rev.2.1), the Portuguese version of NACE Rev.1.1 — figures to the 2000 and 2001 accounting years. The data scope comprises all entities whose main economic activity is included in the following NACE Rev. 1.1 divisions group:
- Financial Intermediation, except Insurance and Pension Funds (NACE Rev.1.1 65);
- Insurance and Pension Funding, except Compulsory Social Security (NACE Rev. (NACE Rev.1.1 66).
- Activities Auxiliary to Financial Intermediation, except Insurance and Pension Funding (NACE Rev.1.1 67).
The basic statistical unit on financial statistical data is the enterprise. However, a limited number of concerning local units are also provided in this publication, which allows a regional approach.
