With this study we intend to show how one can use ordered Logit models to analyse job satisfaction. Thus, we tried to study how the satisfaction of the workers of the Personnel Department of a large company of transports of the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon varies, with their own characteristics. Our results lead to the conclusions that, with som
exceptions, the satisfaction of workers does not vary with their gender, age and experience in the company. On the other hand, it varies with their hierarchic level, their qualifications, and the place where they work.
