The annual change rate of industry turnover was 14.7% in August (6.4% in July). On a monthly basis, industry sales dropped by 19.3% (-25.2% in August 2009). Both markets had similar behaviours, with the annual change in the domestic market standing at 9.4% (2.2% last month), while sales to external market increased by 26.7% (14.2 % in July).
Also in annual terms, employment and hours worked, adjusted for calendar effects, decrease -1.9% and -0.9% respectively, while wages and salaries increased by 1.9%.
