Summary
In September 2006 the seasonally adjusted retail trade turnover at constant prices increased by 2.1%, year-on-year terms. The change from August was 0.6%. Employment and wages in retail trade had positive year-on-year rates of change of 0.9% and 4.3% respectively. The year-on-year rate of change in the number of hours worked was -0.9%.
