Summary
The Portuguese Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.1% in August 2007 when compared with August 2006. On a monthly ba-sis, the CPI decreased 0.4%. The CPI 12-month average rate of change remained stable at 2.5% in August 2007.
In August, the Portuguese Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) increased 1.9% when compared with the same month of the previous year.
