Summary
The index of production in construction decreased by 12.7% in the quarter ending in December 2011, in year-on-year terms (3 months moving average, working days and seasonally adjusted), down by 1.0 percentage points from the rate observed in November. The average change rate in 2011 was -9.9%, after a decrease of 8.4% in the previous year. Employment and wages and salaries registered year-on-year change rates of -12.5% and -9.2%, respectively.
