Summary
In January 2008 the seasonally adjusted index for retail trade turnover at constant prices registered a year-on-year rate of 2.8%, up by 4.3 percentage points from December. In retail trade, the year-on-year rate for employment, wages and salaries and the number of hours worked adjusted for working days was positive, standing at 3.4%, 8.2% and 1.7%, respectively.
