Summary
Building permits registered the lowest figures of the past decade for all the observed variables. The number of building permits registered an annual average reduction of 10.7% in the 4th quarter of 2011, settling at 5700 buildings. The number of completed buildings increased by 3.7%, settling at 7,600 buildings.
Dwellings completed in new constructions for family housing also recorded the lowest figures since the 1st quarter of 2001.
Vis-a-vis the 3rdquarter of 2011, the number of building permits decreased by 6%, while completed buildings increased by 1.9%.
