Economic Accounts for Agriculture

Summary
The main purpose of this publication is the dissemination of the most recent macroeconomic data for the Economic Accounts for Agriculture, Base 2000. The structure of this publication presents forecasts for the Agricultural Income for 2005 and a series for national values concerning 1995-2004. The main aspects that can be taken from the analysis of these data are:
• the first estimates for the Income from the agricultural activity present a decrease of 11% in 2005, measured by the index of the real income of factors in agriculture per annual work unit.
• net entrepreneurial income has increased, in nominal terms, between 1995 and 2004. Its evolution is rather irregular, due to the quality of the agricultural years.
In order to provide a better understanding, some methodological notes are included at the end of the document.
