XIV Population census. IV Housing census

Each publication comprises two sections: the first one concerns Portugal geographical level and contains national data, broken down by NUTS II; the second one refers to the geographic level of NUTS II, with a data breakdown by NUTS III, county (concelho) and parish (freguesia).

For each of the geographic levels mentioned above, it is presented a table with data from Census 2001 (preliminary data) of the following statistic units: current population and resident population broken down by sex, households, dwellings and buildings. This table also includes the final data of the last census (1991).

These publications also include charts with the percentage change of population, between 1991 and 2001, for the geographic levels of desegregation already mentioned.
