It shows information that allows for the characterisation of 141 Portuguese cities ¿ including the seven new ones established in 2003 ¿ through a set of indicators and variables broken down into: Territory; Demography; Construction; Enterprises. This characterisation contributes to further the knowledge on these spaces, which are increasingly populated and seen as fully-fledged engines for economic growth, competitiveness and employment. In addition to the information displayed in statistical tables, it is also possible to treat data, namely to create charts and cartograms, as well as to copy and export them.

This CD-ROM is furnished with an application and specific functionalities and, for this reason, can not be available for consultation on the website. Nevertheless, its consultation is free at the libraries of Statistics Portugal.
