In the 1st quarter of 2023, 6.2 thousand buildings were licensed, which represents a decrease of 10.9% compared to the 1st quarter of 2022 (-2.7% in the 4th quarter of 2022) and a reduction of 2.4% vis-à-vis the 1st quarter of 2019. Buildings permits for new constructions decreased by 11.1% (-2.7% in the 4th quarter of 2022 and +6.2% compared to the 1st quarter of 2019). The number of renovation permits decreased by 10.2% (-3.8% in the 4th quarter of 2022; -22.0% compared to the 1st quarter of 2019). The number of completed buildings declined by 2.9% compared to the 1st quarter of 2022 (-4.1% in the 4th quarter of 2022), yet increased by 9.4% vis-à-vis the 1st quarter of 2019, totalling 3.7 thousand buildings.

Compared to the previous quarter, the number of building permits increased by 13.3% (-5.2% in the 4th quarter of 2022), while the number of completed buildings decreased by 1.8% (+1.5% in the 4th quarter of 2022).
