The current publication of the National Statistical Institute (INE) carries on the dissemination of statistical data on international trade, under the conditions established with the single market of the European Union, on 1 January 1993. Such conditions established the abolition of customs duties and formal procedures in what concerns the goods traded between Member States.

The methodology adopted consists, once more, of a factor set up to the transactions not obliged to declare the statistical value. This factor is based on the level of the transaction and is defined by four variables: flow, country of origin/destiny, delivery conditions and zone of origin/destiny. Consequently, we tried to minimize the, inevitable, mistake associated to the estimate of part of the statistical value.
