The thematic content of this year's edition follows the last edition, being organized in 26 sub chapters grouped into four main chapters - The Territory, The People, The Economic Activity and The State. Each sub chapter starts with a key indicators table, which enables the reader to see, at a glance, the main territorial trends relating to the different topics.

Tables are presented in a bilingual format (Portuguese and English) and, for the first time, the respective links for the Statistics Portugal’s database [www.ine.pt | Statistical Data] are made available, following the geographic breakdown of the information provided.
