Summary
This publication provides statistical information on agriculture, forestry and food industry, organised in 12 chapters. First chapter presents a physical and economic analysis of agriculture for the year 2001. The main information is presented in several tables and refers to crop production, animal production, forestry, economic accounts for agriculture, prices on agriculture, balance sheets and food industry.
Some of the most important results for year 2001, comparing with 2000, show:
In production terms: a huge decrease of autumn/winter cereals production; an increased of fruit production; an increase of wine production; a huge increase of olive oil production; a decrease of cattle, pork, sheep and goats meat production; an increase of poultry meat production; a notorious decrease of acidified milk which includes yoghurt production.
In economical terms: an increase in gross value added at current prices; an increase in agricultural income.
