Agricultural forecasts
Winter cereal production with less 20% of 2009 production is one of the lowest of the last decades
- July 2010
18 August 2010
Summary
Early estimates, on 31 July 2010, point to a winter cereal campaign with exceptionally low productions, the result of reduced areas sown and yields. The prospects for fruit trees are also not encouraging, with breaks around 30% in the orchards of apple and pear trees and 15% in peach. Despite delays in sowing and reducing the areas, spring crops show a relatively regular vegetative growth for the season.
