According to the provisional results of the Annual Survey on Industrial Production (IAPI), in 2025, the total sales of products and industrial services in the Manufacturing industries (Divisions 10 to 33, 35 and 38 of CAE Rev.4) stood at EUR 110.6 billion, representing a nominal decrease of 3.8% compared with 2024. In the previous year, this amount had decreased by 0.7%, totalling EUR 114.9 billion.
This evolution was largely influenced by price reductions, as reflected in the 2.9% year-on-year decrease in the industrial production price index (IPPI) in 2025.
The major contributions to the decrease of the total sales of products and industrial services were recorded in the Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (Division 19), with -3.3 pp, followed by Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (Division 28) and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (Division 35), both with a contribution of -0.4 percentage points.
Division 10 - Manufacture of food products remained the division with the highest relative weight in the total sales of products and industrial services (16.2%), having increased by 2.4% over 2024. It was followed by Division 29 - Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (weight of 11.1%; +5.5% compared with 2024) and Division 25 - Manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (weight of 7.1%; -4.2% compared with 2024).
Among the five main products produced in 2025, considering the sales value, the following stood out: Gas oils, Other parts and accessories, n.e.c., for vehicles, and Motor vehicles with only spark-ignition internal combustion piston engine capacity ≤ 1 500 cm³.
