Summary
The Industry Turnover Index, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, recorded a nominal year-on-year rate of change of 7.0% in May (9.4% in the previous month). Excluding the Energy grouping, industrial turnover rose 4.2% (8.4% in the previous month). Domestic and non-domestic market rates of change shifted from 9.7% and 8.9% in April, respectively, to 8.2% and 5.1% in the reference month.
Wages recorded a year-on-year growth of 3.7% in May (4.2% in the previous month), while employment and hours worked (adjusted for calendar effects) decreased by 0.7% and 1.4% (variations of 0.1% and -0.7% in April), respectively.
