Summary
In March, the Services Turnover Index recorded a year-on-year nominal increase of 4.9%, representing an acceleration of 4.1 percentage points (p.p.) compared with the previous month. In real terms, the deflated index increased by 0.5%, following a 2.4% decrease in February.
In the first quarter of 2026, the aggregate index grew by 2.1% compared with the same period in 2025 (3.6% in the previous quarter).
On a month-on-month basis, the nominal index rose by 3.0%, contrasting with a decline of 0.6% recorded in the preceding month.
The indices of employment, wages and salaries, and hours worked (adjusted for calendar effects) showed year-on-year variations of 1.3%, 6.8%, and 2.0%, respectively (compared with 2.0%, 8.5%, and -0.5% in February).
