The trade turnover index recorded a year-on-year increase of 2.7% in June, accelerating by 1.4 percentage points (p.p.) compared with the previous month. Retail trade recorded a year-on-year growth rate of 3.0%, 0.2 p.p. higher than in May. Wholesale trade recorded an increase of 0.5%, following a 0.8% decline in the previous month. Trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles accelerated significantly, with the growth rate increasing from 4.4% in May to 9.0% in June.
In the second quarter of 2026, turnover in trade increased by 2.9% year-on-year, accelerating by 0.4 p.p. compared with the previous quarter.
Employment, wages and hours worked adjusted for calendar effects indices recorded year-on-year changes of 0.3%, 7.4% and 2.1% in June, respectively (1.2%, 8.0% and 1.0% in May).
