Summary
The trade turnover index recorded a year-on-year increase of 2.0% in July, up by 0.1 percentage points (p.p.) compared with the previous month. Retail trade recorded a year-on-year growth rate of 3.0%, 0.3 p.p. higher than in June. Wholesale trade increased 0.5%, following a 0.6% decline in the previous month. Trade, maintenance, and repair of motor vehicles recorded a deceleration of 4.6 p.p., to a growth rate of 3.9%.
Employment, wages and hours worked adjusted for calendar effects indices recorded year-on-year changes of -1.6%, 4.8% and 1.1% in July, respectively (1.1%, 8.4% and 1.9% in June).
