In December 2025, the tourist accommodation sector accounted for 1.9 million guests (+4.4%) and 4.3 million overnight stays (+3.0%), resulting in EUR 335.9 million in total revenue and EUR 236.0 million in revenue from accommodation (+6.6% and +5.7%, respectively).
The increase in overnight stays was driven by positive contributions of both residents, whose overnight stays rose by 6.0% (+0.8% in November) to 1.7 million, and non-residents, whose overnight stays increased by 1.1% (+0.6% in November) to 2.6 million.
Among the top 10 inbound markets for overnight stays in December, the Canadian stood out again with the largest increase (+10.3%), while the largest decline was observed in the French market (-11.0%).
In December, the revenue per available room (RevPAR) was EUR 38.9 (+1.2%) and the average daily rate (ADR) amounted to EUR 99.7 (+2.3%).
In 2025 as a whole (preliminary data), tourist accommodation establishments recorded 32.5 million guests and 82.1 million overnight stays, reflecting annual increases of 3.0% and 2.2%, respectively. Overnight stays from external markets predominated (69.4% of total overnight stays in 2025), totalling 57.0 million, and grew by 0.8%. The domestic market contributed with 25.1 million overnight stays (+5.4%).
The United Kingdom remained the main inbound market in 2025, accounting for 17.7% of total overnight stays by non-residents, decreasing by 1.5%. This was followed by the German (11.3% of the total), North American (9.6% of the total), Spanish (9.1% of the total), and French (7.4% of the total) markets. Among the main markets, Canada (+5.8%) and the United States (+4.9%) stood out for the higher growth rates. Conversely, the French and Spanish markets recorded the largest declines (-7.0% and -5.2%, respectively).
