In the 2nd quarter of 2025, 6.5 thousand building permits were issued, representing a 4.3% increase compared with the same period of the previous year, well below the 27.6% growth recorded in the 1st quarter of 2025. Building permits for new constructions rose by 4.4% (+31.6% in the 1st quarter of 2025), while permits for renovations increased by 6.1%, slowing down from the 20.4% growth in the 1st quarter.
The number of completed buildings stood at 3.9 thousand, corresponding to a year-on-year decrease of 15.0%, reinforcing the downward trend already observed in the previous quarter (-10.5%).
In the residential sector the number of dwellings licensed in new constructions increased by 17.9%, below the 39.1% growth recorded in the preceding quarter. Conversely, the number of completed dwellings decreased by 4.4%, after a positive change of 16.1% in the 1st quarter of 2025.
Compared with the previous quarter, the number of building permits issued decreased by 9.3%, while the number of completed buildings declined by 0.6%.
