In June 2025, exports and imports of goods recorded nominal year-on-year changes of -0.1% and +3.9%, respectively (+2.6% and +13.2%, in the same order, in May 2025). However, when transactions without transfer of ownership (TTE) are excluded, increases were observed in both flows: +2.1% in exports and +5.1% in imports (+1.3% and +4.6%, in the same order, in May).
The trade deficit amounted to EUR 2,348 million in June 2025, representing a EUR 337 million increase compared to the same month in the previous year.
In June 2025, unit value indices (prices) continued to record negative changes, although less pronounced than in the previous month, -1.4% in exports and -1.9% in imports (-2.2% and -3.5%, respectively, in May 2025; -0.3% and -2.8% in June 2024, in the same order).
In addition to the usual monthly results, this press release also unveils the final results for 2024, with annual changes of +2.0% in both exports and imports, reflecting downward revisions of 0.4 p.p. and 0.2 p.p., respectively, from the preliminary results released in June, due to additional information that has since become available.
