In September 2009 the seasonally adjusted index for retail trade turnover at constant prices registered a year-on-year rate of -1.3% (-2.3% in August). The year-on-year rate of retail trade turnover excluding fuel stood at -0.8% (-1.9% in the previous month). Employment and the number of hours worked adjusted for working days presented year-on-year growth rates of -1.9% and -1.5%, respectively. The year-on-year growth rate of wages and salaries was 4.0%.
