Summary
In August the Business Climate Indicator fdeteriorated again, for the fifth consecutive month, reaching the minimum since September 2003. Among the different sectors covered, manufacturing industry and services recovered slightly, especially the latter, as opposed to the deterioration in the confidence levels of trade and construction and public works, albeit not very significant in this latter case. The Consumer Confidence Indicator deteriorated further in August for the third consecutive month, to reach the lowest level since June.
