Summary
In September the Business Climate Indicator stabilised, after a sharp deterioration from April to August, resuming levels not seen since September 2003. The confidence levels improved both in manufacturing industry and in services for the second consecutive month and more noticeably than in September. Construction and public works and trade maintained the downward movement observed in the previous month. The Consumer Confidence Indicator deteriorated for the fourth month in a row, although less markedly than in the three previous months.
