In 2019, the value of Services Rendered to Enterprises grew by 9.2% (+10.5% in 2018), to EUR 18.5 billion. Gross Value Added (GVA) increased by 9.9% (-1.1 p.p. than the growth registered in 2018), reaching EUR 10.8 billion, which is equivalent to 10.3% of the total GVA of non-financial companies. Gross Operating Surplus (GOS) increased by 2.1% (+7.6% in 2018), reaching EUR 2.9 billion. These results correspond to 125 596 enterprises (+3.8% over 2018), employing 445 150 persons (+5.7% over the previous year).
Computing services was the most representative activity (30.5% of total services rendered), having grown 18.3% (+15.8% in 2018). Accounting, auditing and consulting activities remained as the second most representative activity (27.3% of total services rendered), having grown by 7.6% (+8.9% in 2018).
Advertising were the activities with the highest ratio of services rendered per employee: EUR 118.9 thousand of services rendered (-1.1% than in the previous year), in contrast to the Employment activities which registered the lowest value: EUR 14.6 thousand (+ 2.7% compared to 2018).
In the total of Business Services sector, the five largest companies accounted for 26.9% of the total services rendered. By activity, the concentration in the respective five largest companies ranged from a maximum of 92.6% in the Computer facilities management activities to a minimum of 8.5% in Architectural activities.
