In year-on-year and nominal terms, the Industry Turnover Index decreased 11.1% in July (reduction of 10.9% in the previous month). The indices for the domestic and non-domestic markets recorded variations of -9.1% and -13.9% (-8.4% and -14.5% in June), respectively.
Employment, wages and salaries and hours worked indices  registered year-on-year reductions of 2.9%, 0.5% and 9.1% (variations of -2.9% -2.3% and -9.3% in June, in the same order).

The information in this press release, referring July 2020, reflects probably the situation determined by the pandemic COVID-19, either in economic behavior either in the amount of data for compilation of results presented. We call for the best collaboration by firms, households and public entities in answering, despite the present difficulties, to Statistics Portugal.
