The index of production in construction decreased by 0.8% in the quarter ending in December 2016, in year-on-year terms (3 months moving average, working days and seasonally adjusted), up by 1.1 percentage points from the rate observed in November. In 2016 production in construction diminished 3.3% (annual change rate of -2.3% in 2015).
Employment index registered an increase of 0.6%, in year-on-year change rate, (0.1% in November) and wages and salaries indices decreased by 2.8% (-0.7% in the previous month). Annual change rates of these indices were -3.3% and -4.2% in 2016, respectively.
