In 2015, the GVA and the number of persons employed of the non-financial enterprises recorded an increase of 4.8% and 2.6%, respectively, compared to the previous year. For the enterprises with legal form of companies those increases were 4.9% and 3.5%, respectively. The returns of companies increased in 2015, along with the increase in the share of companies with positive net profits (+3.0 p.p. than in 2014).
It was also observed a favorable evolution in the equity and debt ratios and the increase in the investment rate of 1.2 p.p. (18.91% in 2015), suggesting an improvement in the financial behavior of companies in 2015.
Although, the most of the analyzed indicators showed a general improvement in the economic and financial performance of companies, in nearly all economic activity sectors, Hotels and restaurants sector was the one with the most expressive improvement in 2015.
